We got home from our road trip last night – utterly exhausted, but very happy!

We celebrated YD’s birthday in style

And now it is Christmas morning and there is Champagne to be drunk and presents to open and more family time to be indulged in.  The full story of our adventures must wait for another post.

  2. Now THAT is a Santa that I can be dealing with…can’t wait to see your new baby today, all wrapped up in Harvey Norman swaddling cloth and raring to boot. Christmas Day is over here but now I get all day Boxing Day to recover from my luxury Christmas Nachos…remind me next year to NOT eat all of the luxury Christmas Nacho’s ;).

    • We’ve got your old weather – it’s cold and wet and dark – may as well be in the northern hemisphere! What happened? Poor Santa has probably packed up his beach brolly and headed off to your part of the world……….. However, all is not lost – It’s 10 past 7 am and I’ve got my gummies and rain jacket on and I’m off to buy me a computer 🙂 Harvey turns his lights on in an hour……

        • I am pleased to report there was no extraneous packaging, cables, polystyrene, bubble wrap et al. Just a nice sturdy cardboard box, not much bigger than the actual lap top….. She set up very quickly and now all I have to do is leasrn how to drive Windows 8 which is very different to Windows 7 alas – a bit like a smart phone with swiping and soft touch confusion going on. I don’t own a smart phone so its all new to me. However I shall hunker down in our lovely wintery weather and learn me some new skills….. Bring it on!!

          • Glad to see other people learning “new things” and the year isn’t even over yet! I bet you will have that sucker mastered ASAP. As my gran used to say “needs must when the devil drives!” you want it, you learn it! ;). Have great fun doing so and let us all know what Windows 8 is like…Windows 7 has been a bit of a bollocks to be honest. I hope there is some improvement! I prefer XP to be honest.
